TOKYO -- Hot bikes, hot babes, hot bands and wild tattoos were the order of the day at Japan's annual Chopper Night, held at the Differ in Chiba, Japan. The eclectic gathering of what can only be described as several fringe groups - to include motorcycle enthusiasts, tattoo artists, exotic dancers and punk bands - proved to be a good mix at an event that was characteristically loud both inside and outside of the venue.
Organizers said several thousands of the faithful mingled at the all-day gathering. Amid the revving up of motorcycle engines, whizzing of electric tattoo needles and the blaring of rock and punk music, the brethren gawked at some of the more outlandish in attendance - the few visitors who had neither a tattoo to display nor a motorcycle to ride.
Motorcycle groups wearing the 'skin' of their passion - colorful motorcycle jackets -- were often overshadowed by tattoo enthusiasts whose skin was adorned with even more colorful designs depicting everything from cherries to demons.
